Clint Eastwood Run In With A Porn Star Goes BUST!

As you may recall, actor, Clint Eastwood, was one of the most handsome men in Hollywood and moreover, one of the most desirable.
However, when porn star, Linda Lovelace met him, things went wrong for her.
Perhaps, it was the manner of the meeting. It was during a screening of her movie, Deep Throat, at the Playboy Mansion.
She wanted to meet him and lo and behold, I gather Hefner made it a dream come true for the porn starlet. During the screening, Eastwood, just looked directly at the screen while Lovelace made plays of interest at him but to no avail. Eastwood just wouldn't bite to her dismay.
Word has it that the actor never cared much for women who put their expertise on display for all to see. I guess he lived up to that considering that he gave her the cold shoulder throughout the viewing and more so prior to  leaving the Mansion upon the film's ending without much of a word to neither Hefner nor Lovelace.

Where is this anecdote from?

According to the documentary, "The Real Linda Lovelace," she was "attending movie screenings with Clint Eastwood." Maybe that statement is just a wildly exaggerated version of this one episode, but I'd be curious to learn more, such as where your anecdote derives from.

By the way, as for Eastwood looking directly at the screen during the film, couldn't it be that he was actually studying the movie? He was a filmmaker, after all, and obviously took film seriously. Personally, when I am attending a film, my attention is entirely directed toward the screen and I don't like to be disturbed by people chatting (to me or anyone else), chomping on popcorn, slurping sodas, opening candy wrappers, or creaking their seats.

I might also note that Eastwood was married at the time (with two small children) and while he certainly was not above having discreet affairs, being seen flirting with a porn star would have been a tad risky.

Okay, on page 189 of Lovelace's memoir, "Ordeal: The Truth Behind Deep Throat," she writes that Eastwood "didn't say a single word to me all evening." But she adds, "I give him credit for that. In fact, it made me respect him even more."

She was probably so used to guys hitting on her and treating her as a sex object that she respected Eastwood for being one of the few men who did not attempt to take advantage of her.
