Hollywood Nostalgia:John Erik-Suicide or Premeditated Murder?

Many speculated that actor, John Erik, committed suicide out of sheer depression.
That may have some truth to it however, the catalyst to his depression may stem from his wanting to break clean from the vicious cycle of homosexual practice prevalent in mainstream Hollywood culminating in the shooting incident that claimed his life as a suicide.
Others speculate that his refusal to participate in the practices to make it in the business resulted in premeditated death to look as if it was, in fact, suicide. Nevertheless, before he could really experience success based on good looks and acting ability, he was cut short. He is still missed in some Hollywood circles while others consider him as "the one who got away". John-Erik was most remembered from the television series, "The Voyagers".
